We love downtown Portland, even in its late hours, with some of its disadvantaged houseless and garbage that every city has; it's beautiful. We were up early this morning for an opaque graphic removal and replacement with new, brighter translucent material graphics. The client wants to backlight the windows from the inside. This project was rare in that a friend, who owns a signage business, needed our assistance installing. They handled the printing, on this project, we could only fit in the removal and installation on a Sunday.

There was a miscommunication between my Friends signage business and the client, when they switched the windows, but did not have correct spacing(always need to remeasure-especially with the window frames in mind).

We made some on the fly adjustments, removing, while it was still wet and shifting things over to the left. My friend came in and printed a piece of yellow to fill in, the unplanned gap on the right.

Not only was I rewarded with the project looking great, but some great Beef & spicy Chicken Bulgogi, Steamed Veggies (no rice)& Kimchi, too .

Up at 4 AM, installing by 5:30 AM, doing a favor for a Strategic Part er, turning into one of those projects. Turns out he did not give me all the banners needed to install. Great news it’s installing pretty fast..

Designer friends- have any of you that are regular Adobe Illustrator users tried Affinity yet? Curious if we can get off this monthly payment merry(not so merry)-go-round. I saw the combined Affinity across all platforms is only $83. I pay $23 a month just for Illustrator, thinking 4 months and no monthly payments might be worth it. I basically need it to be able to do the same as Adobe, ie open an editable .pdf or .eps and work on it same as currently in AI. Thanks for your input
