Meet our teacher AllyJo Frush. AllyJo began singing at the age of 5 in her mothers home studio. A natural from the start, she was self taught in Piano, Guitar and Voice. At age 12 she began writing music. Her adolescent years consisted of choir and talent shows. Upon graduating from high school in 2006, she began her vocal training under Ashton Barkho, owner and vocal coach of Studio2628 in Los Angeles, California. Over the last decade working with Studio2628, she was given the opportunity to shadow Mr. Barkho in his work and assist in various bi-annual productions. In 2013, AllyJo moved to San Diego where she studied Digital Music Technology and began producing music. In the summer of 2015 she visited Portland on vacation and fell in love with the city; she moved here 4 months later. Since living in Portland, she has been working in 3 music projects around the city, flying back to LA to assist in music productions put on by Studio2628 and working on building her vocal studio here in Portland. She specializes in Vocal Technique, Performance Coaching, Song-Writing, Audition Prep, Music Production and Recording.
"Music has always been a guiding light in my life and I want to share that with others. My inspiration to teach comes from my own learning and experience of music. I had the wonderful opportunity of having amazing musical mentors enrich my life with their knowledge and I want to share that with my students. The vocal technique I teach is a powerful tool to strengthen and find your natural voice. All lessons are private one-on-one and tailored to each students projects and goals. Call me today, I am accepting new students and would love to talk music with you. Sing with all your heart!" -AllyJo
