Waypoint Intercultural Closing Its Doors:
Thanks for your support through the years!
This past year and a half has been–at best–a wild ride for those of us in and around the DEI space in the United States. Executive Orders. Gaslighting. Demonization. Threats. We’ve all had to pivot, in ways both expected and unexpected: rebranding our websites, redesigning our offerings, and, sadly, laying off trusted colleagues as our contracts, one by one, evaporated. Waypoint Intercultural was no exception.
We’ve had to rethink how to best be in service during this unprecedented time, and we at Waypoint Intercultural have come to the difficult decision to close. However, our commitment to social justice does not end with Waypoint’s end.
Rather, it evolves.
One part of that evolution will be a focus on creativity (details forthcoming!). We truly believe creativity may be what saves us during this difficult time. And, because we can’t abandon our intercultural ways entirely, we would argue that creativity is actually Adaptation made visible and beautiful.
Our thanks to everyone who has supported our work through the years. We hope that the learning, growth, and change facilitated by Waypoint Intercultural continues to ripple out, and in some small way, Waypoint Intercultural’s mission may live on in your good work.
