Happy closing to Freud on Co***ne: a cast that won my heart, a script that warped my brain and made me laugh, and another historical character that’s been added to my repertoire, Anna Freud.

Two months ago when my mom died, people reminded me that things would be wonky for a while. And it’s true that I am still finding balance. Still, reflecting on the imperfect legacy of my character’s father was the right foil for the grief I’ve had for my mother. We all leave a flawed legacy, and it’s up the next generation to pick up and imagine the next future, “with a great deal of space and freedom ahead.”

And my gratitude to the cast, who together deftly swung from acting coked-out and madcap, to facing the dead-serious costs of addiction. You kept me in stitches and embraced me in warmth. (shout out to SM Juliet Mylan for the hugs, especially.)

Thanks to all who came to see the show or supported us!

Some might say she steals the show.

You’ve got four more chances!!!

A reading of
‘That Polyamory Play’
by Cosmo Reynolds

Lauren (Khalila Abozeeter) and Nina (Bryn Bollimpalli) just had a great first date. There’s one problem: Lauren assumed Nina was monogamous, and now they’re navigating their disparate ideas of what a “relationship” means. Can they work it out?

Through lunch conversations with Lauren’s well-meaning mother (Kerie Darner) and sidebars with Nina’s close-knit polycule (Luckie Daniel & Damian Luis), this play takes a hard look at the new rules of dating… with a little good humor.
