October 14-18, 2024 is Construction Inclusion Week! This annual, industry-wide awareness effort aims to create collective safe spaces for difficult conversations, provide educational insights, and to foster a more inclusive construction industry.

As we discussed last month, the su***de rates in our industry remain statistically high. One way to combat the suffering of our peers is to make sure each person feels welcome to be their best and perform their best. Ostracizing others only separates us and leaves individuals suffering, as well as our community's health and achievements at large.

As September & Su***de Prevention Month come to an end, join CFMA in taking the pledge to create safe cultures, provide training, and raise awareness about the su***de crisis in construction.

With a su***de rate that is four times greater than the national average, the construction industry is facing a crisis. Construction workers are at a heightened risk for su***de for a variety of reasons that can all be addressed – starting with changing the culture in the workplace.

The Construction Industry Alliance for Su***de Prevention is dedicated to changing the statistics by educating and equipping organizations, industry service providers and construction professionals to STAND Up for su***de prevention and address it as a health and safety priority.
