Extradition is a musical ensemble working at the intersection of composition and improvisation, intentionality and chance, clarity and silence. Based in Portland, Oregon, USA, we present quarterly concerts and intimate recital events that feature realizations of notated scores, text- and graphics-based works, and structured improvisations. We maintain no repertoire, instead always moving forward—learning and performing new works and then putting them aside to prepare for what’s next.

On Saturday night, we did an audience countdown at Extradition's summer concert and pushed the "release" button on this monster, which includes 80 tracks totaling 15.5 hours of music, some written as far back as 1958, some as recently as 12 weeks ago. It's undoubtedly the most Philip Corner you'll ever find for the affordable price of just $30.
Thanks to the 22 musicians who participated, to Philip Corner for not only writing the pieces but providing us with guidance, and to Leaven Community for OK'ing all our late-night recording sessions.
