Frank Baugh is probably best known for Sparkling Wide Pressure, his wide-ranging and long-running psychedelic/experimental project. With Night Sky Body, Baugh ventures into rougher waters.

"Top Down is an investigation into abstracted industrial rhythms and ambiguous mental spaces. The creation process was born out of a need for catharsis and release. Lyrical fragments are pulled from dream journals and overheard conversations. The unconscious blends with the conscious and is fleshed out within a sonic landscape of broken electronics and distorted textures." - Frank Baugh

Leather Parisi returns to Nailbat Tapes with four tracks that represent a colossal leap forward for the Italian aural alchemist. The electronics here range from tense, abstract layers to pulsing, beat-based exercises in suspense. Cannibal Drones is an all-consuming slide into the void.

At this point, the label has gone through a few iterations. Once upon a time, the label trafficked almost exclusively in noise and experimental tapes. That’s less a focal point nowadays, but it’ll always be in the DNA of the label.

To that end, I’ve decided to handle these releases a bit differently from the rest of the catalog. This week we will be releasing the first batch of our Synapse Series, which will focus exclusively in this side of the label.
