Seeking to restore, enrich and protect the Willamette River The CAG represents diverse interests impacted by the Portland Harbor Superfund site and cleanup.

The group is comprised of individuals from neighborhood associations, environmental, health, recreation, and business groups, and concerned citizens. We have worked closely with the community, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Oregon's Dept. of Environmental Quality (DEQ), the Lower Willamette Group (LWG), the City of Portland, the Port of Portland, and the Tribes affected by the Superfund site.

Update from Donna Cohen:
Hello. Some members of north peninsula neighborhoods have recently learned that we may be cut off from the rest of Portland after a major quake. The recent report "CEI Hub Critical Risk Analysis" https://www.multco.us/s…/cei-hub-draft-seismic-risk-analysis has brought to light the dangers from a major quake.

Although, indeed, a very large geographic area will be impacted, only those north of the "cut" and the railroad tunnel which runs under Dana/Columbia Park may find themselves with no egress/ingress. This would be especially dire in the event of toxic smoke from tank fires, however, in any event we have no medical facilities here and will need ingress for medical services and supplies even if we can stay here.

Three sides of the north peninsula will be liquified, including the areas of Willamette Blvd and everything north of the slough. Lombard, Fessenden and Columbia go over the "cut" and/or the railroad tunnel and those are over a hundred years old and will collapse.
I am asking two things here:
1. That I be able to mention this effort at the Tuesday night meeting.
2. That anyone wishing to work together to get authorities to evaluate the situation and begin to plan for an emergency route to/from the north peninsula contact me about upcoming meetings we are having in about a week. We're just in the very early stages of working on this. Please DM me. Thanks!

Oh, also, please share this message with anyone you think might be interested.
