Bringing people together to take action in Portland! Take Action Portland (TAP) is a volunteer-run organization in Portland dedicated to community involvement.
We work with local nonprofits to coordinate monthly volunteer events as an alternative way for people in Portland to socialize while engaging in work that positively impacts the community. Taking color measurements of the Casco Bay with Friends of Casco Bay. Thanks to everyone who came out this weekend to help track the health of the Casco Bay!
Happy first day of Fall!
Wolfe's Neck Center's annual Harvest Dance is coming up on September 29th and they need volunteers to help pull it off!
The event will have 400 guests in their Mallet Barn to enjoy a contra dance, and a local music act. There will also be food trucks and their Farm Café will be serving food as well as drinks for this 21 plus event.
Volunteers are need from 5:00 – 7:30 to help set up, park cars, and check in guests. After you are free to enjoy the rest of the evening free of charge.
If anyone is able to also stay until the end to help with break down, that would be doubly appreciated!

Strive is looking for volunteers for their awesome STRIVE Rocks event on Saturday, March 24th through the 25th! They would love to have volunteers for a chunk of time during either event. Volunteer responsibilities typically look like manning a bounce-castle, face painting, running a craft table or activity, helping out with the escape room, laser tag, etc! We have an urgent need for 6 volunteers tonight for the dinner shift 3:30-6:30pm, and all shifts tomorrow.
Due to the storm, a large percentage of our volunteers are not able to make it in. If you live nearby or are comfortable coming in during the snow storm, we need your help! Use your discretion and only join if you feel safe doing so.
