Is it possible to be gangsta and spiritual at the same time?

Rap artist OG Yogi Duce explores the possibilities with his latest offering New Heights, an insightful 13 track album that infuses hard-core Gangsta perspectives with worldly Spirituality! The album will be available on virtually all platforms on May 25th, 2025.

Duce is a veteran Hip-hop/Rap artist from Portland, Oregon; this year marks the 20th anniversary of his first solo album release which achieved some regional success. Fans of his music will find that the message in his music has changed, and that change reflects his outlook on life in general.

He has stated publicly that he had become very depressed which "led to a Spiritual Awakening beginning in 2017". That is the point where he began to focus on researching various topics from mental health to Spiritual matters, a process which he says was ongoing for a couple of years and the experience had a profound effect on him.

Through his commitment to healing himself using deep meditative practices he emerged with a new sense of purpose and began to put to use his Spiritual and musical experience to create what he has described as his "best work to date".

Duce says he's beaten the odds so many times using his own will power and self-determination to overcome obstacles. He is an enlightened ex-gang member, a high-school drop out with multiple college degrees, a teenage parent that is still with his teenage sweetheart and happily married after 30 plus years together!

OG Yogi Duce has partnered with the 988 Su***de Prevention Hotline and has committed 44.4% of the proceeds from the song Lamentations off of the album New Heights to be donated to that organization.

During the creation of this album Duce wore many hats; he is the songwriter, composer, keyboardist, vocalist, producer, recording and mastering engineer for the entire project. With this project he is showcasing all of his skills and professional training, producing an album that is a must hear for the conscious rap audience and which may simply become a classic album for many Rap/Hip-hop heads out there regardless of their favorite genre.
