It was a pleasure to recently host Governor Tina Kotek at the OSU Portland Center for the Oregon Transportation Forum.

We appreciated the opportunity to convene leaders and partners from across the state to engage in important conversations about Oregon’s transportation future, and we’re grateful to Governor Kotek for joining and sharing her perspective.

We were so delighted to host the TallWood Design Institute for their holiday celebration at the OSU Portland Center! It was wonderful to share in good company, festive cheer, and joyful moments with this delightful bunch.

OSU Portland Center is looking to add several student leaders to our amazing team in the heart of downtown Portland!

We are an education and community event hub that offers flexible hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to network with many of the industry leaders that utilize our space!

Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and Saturday availability may be required.

In the midst of the holiday season, we’re reminded how important it is to pause from the day-to-day, connect with one another, and find the fun as we create new memories together.
Last week our team took that to heart with an outing to Hour to Midnight Escape Room — followed by a happy hour at Eastburn where we shared our own holiday traditions and wrapped up our team playlist guessing game (everyone submitted three favorite songs anonymously). 🎶
Big congratulations to Nicole — our champion guesser who identified 17 out of 24 songs correctly! 🏆

We were pleased to host Portland Public Schools in conjunction with Access OSU at the OSU Portland Center for an application workshop, welcoming local families and future Beavers into our downtown space.

Access OSU’s work to expand college access and support students from historically underserved communities reflects Oregon State University’s commitment to opportunity and educational equity. We’re so proud to see their mission in action as they guide students through the next steps of their academic journeys.

As October draws to a close, we’re reflecting on the incredible works that have filled our halls these past several weeks. The Art About Agriculture Competition and Touring Exhibition brought together student and professional artists whose work celebrates the beauty, science, and spirit of agriculture across Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.

From our opening reception in September to countless moments of conversation and inspiration, this exhibit has reminded us of the power of art to connect community, environment, and innovation.

Thank you to the artists, guests, and partners who made this exhibition possible — including OSU College of Agricultural Sciences, OSU College of Science, OSU College of Engineering, Pendleton Center for the Arts, and Clackamas Community College.

We were honored to host the Kijani Collective at the OSU Portland Center for the Kijani Brunch and Launch on October 4th. The gathering brought community members together for thoughtful dialogue around climate issues impacting Black communities in Portland—an afternoon filled with connection, reflection, and purpose.
