🚨 The Forgotten Chore That Costs You Money 💸
One of the easiest ways to keep your central heating & cooling system running efficiently is by changing your air filters regularly!
A dirty filter can restrict airflow, make your system work harder, raise energy bills, and even shorten the life of your HVAC system.
✅ Better airflow
✅ Cleaner indoor air
✅ Improved energy efficiency
✅ Less strain on your furnace & AC system
Most homes should replace filters every 3-4 months depending on pets, allergies, and system usage.
Don’t let a $15 filter turn into a costly repair later! Keep your home comfortable year-round with simple HVAC maintenance. 🏠❄️☀️
If your system does start acting up, give Appliance Guys a call at (503) 531-8853 or email us at [email protected] and we’ll help get things back up and running! 🙌
We focus on honest repairs and real solutions. No sales tactics here! Since we don’t replace furnaces or AC systems, you can trust that we’ll never try to sell you something you don’t actually need. Just straightforward service you can feel good about. 🔧❄️☀️

🔥 This Oven Did Not Give 2-Week Notice 🔥
Dinner plans were canceled when this oven control board decided it had worked its last shift. 😳
This oven stopped heating properly, and the culprit was a failed control board. The control acts like the “brain” of your oven — when it blows out, you can end up with no heat, uneven cooking, random error codes, or an oven that won’t turn on at all.
Good news? We diagnose the issue quickly and help get you back on track.👨🔧🍪
If your oven is acting up, don’t ignore the warning signs. Catching electrical issues early can help prevent bigger (and more expensive) repairs later on.

🧦 Missing Since Laundry Day 2026
❗️Found: One Sock, Slightly Traumatized
Ever wonder where those missing socks go?
Apparently… straight into the washer drain pump. 😅
This washer stopped draining properly, and after inspection we found the culprit: a runaway sock lodged in the drain hose/pump causing a blockage. Once removed, the washer was back to spinning and draining like normal. 👏
Small clothing items like socks, baby clothes, and washcloths can sneak past the drum and create big problems inside your washer.
💡 Pro Tip: Use mesh laundry bags for small items to help prevent clogs and costly repairs.
If your washer is:
🚫 Not draining
🚫 Leaving clothes soaking wet
🚫 Making unusual noises
🚫 Throwing drain error codes
…it may be time for a service call. Call our office at (503) 531-8853 or email us at [email protected] to schedule.

No Heat, No Glory 🚫🔥
Your Dryer Shouldn’t Need 4 Business Days to Dry Clothes ⏳
The culprit? A completely blown heating element 😬
👉 BEFORE: No heat, endless dry times, frustrating laundry day
👉 AFTER: Brand-new heating element installed and back to drying like it should 💨👕 = Laundry Party!
If your dryer is running but not heating, don’t keep paying higher energy bills waiting on damp clothes to dry. A failing heating element could be the problem!
We diagnose and repair dryers fast so you can get back to normal laundry days. 🛠️🧺✅

Stop Hoarding Lint Like It’s Valuable 💵
That little lint screen in your dryer? It’s not just there for decoration.
🧺 Every load leaves behind lint—and if you’re not cleaning the trap after every single use, it starts to build up fast. That buildup restricts airflow, makes your dryer work harder, and can turn a simple load of laundry into a long, expensive problem.
Worse? Lint is extremely flammable.
A clogged lint trap is one of the most common causes of dryer-related fires ⚠️
✅ Clean the lint screen after every load
✅ Check for buildup around the trap housing
✅ If drying times are getting longer, don’t ignore it
A 10-second habit can save you from a major repair—or worse.
👉 If your dryer is still taking forever to dry -> Email us at [email protected] or call to schedule (503) 531-8853. We’ll take a look!

🧊 When Your Freezer Turns Into Antarctica—There’s a Problem
Here’s What Might Be Happening…
If you’re seeing heavy frost buildup or your freezer isn’t staying cold, a frozen evaporator fan could be the culprit. When that fan freezes over, cold air can’t circulate—and everything starts to go downhill fast.
🚨 Signs to watch for:
• Loud or unusual noises coming from the freezer
• Weak or no airflow
• Frost buildup on the back panel
• Food not staying fully frozen
A quick thaw might help temporarily, but the real issue won’t go away on its own—the root problem will still be there.
🔧 The good news? This is a very fixable issue! Our team can quickly identify the cause, clear the frost, and get your freezer back to running efficiently (and quietly 🤫).
Don’t let a frozen fan turn into spoiled food and bigger repairs—reach out to Appliance Guys we’ll take care of it!

Your dryer called—it can’t breathe 😮💨
Is your laundry taking 3 hours to dry? Yeah… that’s not normal 👀
You may have a crushed dryer vent blocking airflow 💨
When your vent can’t breathe:
🔥 Heat gets trapped
⏱️ Dry times skyrocket
⚠️ And it becomes a serious fire hazard
We fixed the vent → airflow restored → dryer back to normal 👍
Before you replace your dryer, have us come check your vent!

That’s not ‘wear and tear’… that’s mold 😬
That black buildup around your washer door gasket? It’s not just ugly—it can cause odors, transfer to clothes, and even lead to bigger issues if ignored.
The good news 👇
You don’t need a whole new washer.
We professionally replace worn, moldy door gaskets and bring your machine back to clean, fresh, and fully functional. No more smell. No more buildup. Just a washer that works like it should.
✔️ Honest diagnosis - cleaning vs replacing
✔️ Clean, professional install
✔️ Done right the first time
If your washer looks like the “before”… it’s time.

The disappearance of our foot mittens is very curious indeed 🤔
Ever wonder what the story is? Why one keeps trying to escape? Is it going on vacation? Did the pair have a fight and one of them stomped off into their room? Whatever happened, unfortunately they didn’t just vanish in to thin air and they will cause your appliance to not work as well as it should.
We suggest buying mesh laundry bags where you can put anything like socks, (especially baby socks), baby mittens, baby hats, that you can then throw in to the washer and dryer without having to worry about it being eaten by the great abyss.
