It's been a while, but here comes the latest new construction project.

Finally, building permit in hand and construction starts (with cottonwood removal) on our next custom new home.

It's not quite finished (needs wall paint and carpet), but this was a fun one. 70s fake rock wall turned into a usable mantel and note the new electrical outlet and TV cable ready for a flatscreen.

Customer with an elderly parent asked that we construct handrails on the front porch and specifically requested the final product stay in character with the house.

Before: Speaking for itself, but notice the mold. This all had to go down to the studs.
After: Note the working window, Subway tile, slab countertop. This bathroom should be good for another 50 years.

Before: Tired old NE Portland kitchen, but the windows have nice character.
After: New cabinets, granite countertop, backsplash, window trim, etc. Happy customer...and the total cost below average for the Portland marketplace.

We'll start the next new home in the coming weeks once the final building permits are issued. Stay tuned for photos and updates.
