“Nobody, not even the rain” 2011
8 years later I finally give one of my favorite illustrations justice with some color. I made this at a high point in my artistry but at a very low point in my life as a human. I was going through stuff I’m still chewing on today. Eventually I stopped drawing because “life”. A lot of my realest works have either been destroyed or lost. This survived a lot. I still have the original copy on paper inked with India ink and a paintbrush with all but one brush mistake. Art like this helped me heal and understand myself. I lost a lot of skill and confidence as an illustrator since then, but I’m building myself back up and educating myself more about art everyday. If there’s anything ya’ll get out of this illustration/rant is that there’s a lot of majesty that can come out of ugly times. I make art that seems sad, dark, and painful because I gotta turn my ugly s**t into something pretty. With that being said expect more positivity shining through my art in the coming month cus spring is my season🐂 and a lot of dope projects for some dope folks are in the works. 🌸🦹🏾‍♂️

Dark Minds matter. Did this in 2018 when digital art was new to me and the hardware I was using made it hard to even draw lines that looked clean. This illustration was inspired by the movie/ad poster from Star Wars and Stranger things. I pretty much wanted to see what a movie poster of my life would kinda look like. Looking foreword to doing more things like this for Evil Villains
