The exhibit explores the rich history of granite quarrying on Deer Isle through an interactive timeline featuring historic photographs, interviews, and oral histories collected by Galen Koch of Maine Sound + Story. Visitors can explore the stories of the people who experienced some of this defining era and learn how the granite industry shaped the island's communities and identity.⁠

Joshua Chamberlain is best known for his transformation from bookish scholar to Civil War leader. At the Battle of Little Round Top, he and the 20th Maine Regiment helped secure a defining Union victory. ⁠

To bring this story to life at the Joshua Chamberlain Museum, we created an interactive battle map that allows visitors to move through time, following troop movements and pivotal moments as the battle unfolds.

That's the question at the heart of Grading America, the culminating interactive we designed for the First Amendment exhibit at the American Independence Center. ⁠

Visitors reflect on the freedoms of speech, religion, the press, assembly, and petition and give their own letter grade for each. Will America pass the test?

We had a blast creating this quilting interactive for the Joshua Chamberlain Museum! 🧵✨⁠

Inspired by Fannie Chamberlain—artist, quilter, and wife of Joshua Chamberlain—this hands-on experience invites visitors to design their own quilt square using colorful tiles, then watch their pattern expand into a full-sized quilt. ⁠
