Just finished “Monster: The Ed Gein Story” on Netflix. Wow…absolutely blown away by the transformation my guy Charlie Hunnam did for this role! Even more so after working with him last year on Amazon Prime’s new series, “Criminal” (2026 release). I was Mr. Hunnam’s hand double and spent a lot of time on set with him.
Keep in mind that he has a British accent, so hearing his voice as American serial killer Ed Gein (he studied interview tapes) was wild! So much respect for him taking on this challenging role, which is very different than anything he’s done in the past.
Check it out on Netflix if you haven’t already. Perfect series for Halloween, Hunnam went from a heartthrob to a straight up creep! Bravo!!? 😂😳
