We are a diverse group of 1600 Rotarians in clubs located in southern Maine and coastal New Hampshire,. We come together to assist our local communities as well as the larger world community. We know that the key to service is fellowship and fun as well as commitment, and we are always looking for others who share our goals and wish to join us.

The Songo River Princess took us on a lovely water journey today from the Naples Causeway/Long Lake into Brandy Pond, down the Songo River, then through the Songo Lock. Unfortunately, there was no time to go all the way to Sebago Lake. Highly recommend!

Did you know that Songo Lock, built in 1830, is the last of 27 locks that once were in use along the Cumberland and Oxford Canal? The lock is manually operated to raise and lower boats 5 feet as they move along the length of the river. A bit of history with our scenic views.

If you took any photos during this trip, or at anytime during this weekend's District Conference, please post them in the Rotary 7780 - People of Action group and tag Rotary District 7780

District Celebration!! Here are a few pictures from today's events in Bridgton. Thanks to our hosts Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club and DG Emma.

Mother Nature threw a curve ball, so the day started at Lakes Environmental Association HQ with fellowship and lunch, followed by a highly engaging talk by Executive Director Colin Holme. Learn more about the work of these stewards of our lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, and wetlands at https://mainelakes.org/

The day continued with a selection of tours - Deertrees Theatre, Rufus Porter House Museum, and Naples Historical Society Museum. Later, we reconvened at Pleasant Mountain Maine for a Co****le competition, House of Friendship displays, and beverages.

The evening festivities kicked off with a cocktail reception and a short business meeting. Co****le Tournament winners were announced, raffles were drawn, and Engagement Tracker recognition was presented. In addition to enjoying a wonderful dinner, we heard from several speakers: DG Emma Bodwell; Mike McGovern, PDG & Chair Polio Oversight Board - GPEI; Marty Helman, PDG & Rotary International Director 2026-2028; and finally Ben Tucker III, a seventh generation Mainer, Real Estate Professional and community leader.
