45th Parallel, one of Portland's newest arts organizations, celebrates musicians of the Pacific Northwest. With emphasis on small ensembles and creative programming, 45th Parallel seeks to bring Portland's rich chamber music culture out of the living room and onto the stage.

LOCATION CHANGE! 222 SW Columbia ste 300 Portland, OR 97201. Though it might be sunny later, those dang weather apps keep changing! We are playing it safe for our wooden instruments! We will see you here, doors at 5, concert at 6. It’ll be a full house :-) thank you to All Classical Radio for helping us on our outdoor concert series problem solving, we are grateful they have such a beautiful space that happened to be available!

Our Gardens are on sale now, August 30th is our season opener! Garden concerts have always solved a simple problem: how do you bring people together when indoor gathering isn’t an option. Vauxhall Gardens did it in 1700s London. Spa towns did it with their outdoor bandstands. Open air just works when walls don’t.
45th Parallel got there first in Portland, par usual! Tapping into the garden concert wasn’t a workaround — it was the obvious answer, the one people have been reaching for since long before orchestras had concert halls to miss. Ahead of the curve then, ahead of the curve now.
