University of Southern Maine Nursing Students loved getting the opportunity to conduct blood pressure and cholesterol checks, as well as hearing screenings and tetanus immunizations!

Program helps to prevent skin cancer in Maine fishermen More Mainers are being diagnosed with skin cancer compared to other states. In WMTW's continued partnership with the Maine Cancer Foundation and Challenge Cancer 2020, we take a look at a program helping to prevent skin cancer in Maine's fishermen.

Thank you University of Southern Maine nursing students for providing excellent patient care and education to the citizens of Chebeague Island, Maine! Run entirely on donations, The Coastal Community Partnership program at USM was able to provide free cholesterol, glucose checks and Tdap injections. It’s the little ways in which we give back to our community that makes a difference! Thank you to the residents of Chebeague Island for your hospitality and kindness.
