I think there is something amazing about seeing the first tendrils of a plant grab hold of the trellis! This cucumber got transplanted only two days before finding its way to grow to the sky!

Transplant time! It's finally time to put those lovely seedlings that have been growing strong in the greenhouse into the ground. Here are our cucumbers and eggplants. We grow two different kinds of cucumbers and three different kinds of eggplants. π₯ππ±
Excited to share more with you as the planting continues!
Would you like to support the farm and get to share in our harvest? We offer CSA shares where you pay for 18 weeks of fresh produce! Message if you are interested in getting more details!
When I asked last year's CSA members what crop they would like to see more of, tomatoes were the clear winner! So in order to get more tomatoes I am experimenting with growing some in the greenhouse this year! π
If you would like to join this year CSA please send me a message and I will send you the details! π

Lots happening on the farm, hardening off seedlings, bees buzzing, and planting seeds!
Moving all the starts outside and back in the greenhouse for the past days is quite a task but necessary to make sure they transplant strong and happy!
Bees are enjoying our flowers. Here they are enjoying the sage flowers which are blooming so much earlier this year than in years past!
Does anyone else have a tackle box of seeds!? We planted so many lettuce, spinach, arugula, beets, kohlrabi, carrots, radishes, and more!

Today we harvested and pulled the fava beans. This is an amazing cover crop but now that they've done their job it's time for this season's seedlings to get transplanted!

What do I get in a CSA Share? Here is an example of one week's share that you pay less than $24. Compare that to what you pay in the grocery store for the same vegetables.
1 bunch beets = $3.99
1 bunch collard greens = $2.99
1 box shisito peppers = $6.99
1 eggplant = $1.99
1 bunch sage = $4.99
2 jalapeno peppers = $1.49
1 winter squash = $5.99
4 onions = $2.49
So you get $30.92 worth of veggies and herbs for less than $24 and they are picked fresh for you + you are helping support a small local business!
We absolutely adore the kindness and appreciation our community gives us and here's just one example of what a giving neighbor created for us!
My pollinator Gardens consist of irises, thyme, lavender, white sage, and more. After they are established I leave them unwatered all summer long and they grow happily! π π¦
These early blooming flowers help attract pollinators and give them their much-needed nutrients before the produce of the farm grows enough to create flowers. πΈπΌ

If you've walked past the farm you may have noticed that we haven't planted our tomatoes, pepper, eggplant, cucumbers, or herbs yet. That's because they are toasty warm in the greenhouse! Although this nice weather has everyone excited to get things into the ground I will wait until closer to the end of the month to allow them the best chance to grow strong and not be stunted.
Those are just a handful of things that are included in our CSA. If you would like to get your own share of the produce that we grow message me for details!
