COVID Guidelines for In-Person Visits
Based on the responses from the survey, I felt the need to clarify a few things. The bulleted items below are Strict Guidelines set by the State that we must follow. Specific details about our procedures will be sent in a future email.
What do you need to do?
-Wear A Mask. Everyone over the age of 11 (unless you have a medical exemption)
-IF you cannot wear a mask, please bring an alternative face covering or wait in the car. This is mandatory.
-WHY? OSHA! We will receive a fine and can be shut down.
-No Waiting in the Waiting Room
-No drink station. Bring you own bottles.
-No visitors. Just you and your child.
-Maintain social distancing at all times.
-Wait in your car until the therapist comes out to get you for your turn.
What we will do:
-Wear a mask, a face shield or both, depending on the child. We DO NOT want an environment of fear and will do everything to keep the kids seeing our smiling faces.
-Disinfect after every client.
-Maintain social distancing as much as possible.
-Keep the HVAC running. We have HEPA filters and will keep the air circulating.
-Hand wash before and after every client.
-Limited in-person therapy. One family at a time as much as possible. Worst case, is one family per treatment room at a time.
-Staggered schedule so families will not be transitioning in/out at the same time.
As we work toward reopening, we will provide much more specific procedures about what to do when you arrive and how to stay safe while in the clinic setting. We have not yet decided on a reopening date and will make the decision based on the COVID numbers. When we reopen, it will be on a very limited basis with as few people in the clinic as possible. We know how difficult Teletherapy has been for some and that you are ready to return. For families who are doing well with Teletherapy, we ask that you continue, to minimize exposure with our staff.
Thank you everyone for going through this process with us. We appreciate your willingness and compliance in order to keep yourself and others safe.
