24/7 Animal Hospital DoveLewis is a nonprofit emergency and ICU animal hospital offering advanced veterinary care.
DoveLewis has several donor-funded programs for the community, including one of America’s largest volunteer-based animal blood banks, a nationally recognized pet loss support program offering free group therapy sessions, stabilizing care for lost, stray and wild animals, and financial assistance for qualifying low-income families and abused animals.

Chocolate was Desmond's choice. The bib and ponytail were ours because when activated charcoal is on the menu, things can get a little messy. Fortunately, Desmond was a good sport about it while our team helped him through his chocolate adventure. 🍫🎀
What started as a family hike became a race to save Georgie’s life.
One rattlesnake bite changed everything.
Within minutes, Georgie’s face began to swell, and she struggled to breathe. She was rushed to DoveLewis, where our team immediately began lifesaving treatment with antivenom, pain management, and around-the-clock monitoring.
For days, her family waited and hoped.
Then came the small victories. Georgie started eating again. She took her first steps. And finally, she was strong enough to go home.
Today, Georgie is back where she belongs, recovering with her family and getting stronger every day. ❤️
As hiking season continues, remember to keep pets on leash, stay on established trails, avoid rocky areas, brush piles, tall grass, and downed logs, and seek veterinary care immediately if your pet is bitten by a snake.

There were hard days at the start after Riley’s beak injury, when everything centered on keeping her safe and comfortable. Her lucky bow tie stayed with her through it all, part of the team helping her heal. 🎀
Benny was rushed in for emergency surgery after a dog attack caused severe internal injuries. He made it through surgery and spent several days in the ICU under close monitoring as he slowly began to recover. There were a lot of uncertain moments along the way, but little by little, he started to come back to himself. Seeing him walking around after everything he’s been through was one of those moments that stays with you. ♥️
