My Top 5 Priorities for the first 6 months:
1. Forge the 12 new Councilors into a strong team focused on doing what is best for Portland. Set goals, grow trust, share the work, get results.
2. House the homeless while doubling down on massively increasing building more, and more affordable housing.
3. Make our streets safer through smart
investments like the SE Foster BIvd rebuild. Increase traffic enforcement to stop speeding and other dangerous behaviors.
4. Makes sure City investments in clean energy, water quality, parks and more are smartly targeted and effectively managed.
5. Celebrate our vibrant community, engage our neighbors, and inspire others to make a difference in the world.

I serve on the Oregon Sustainability Commission with Rex Burkholder, but Iβve known him for years as a force for good in Portland. He is one of those special Portlanders that you can count on to jump in and help on just about any challenge that our community faces. And he does it in a way that invites and inspires others to join in. His long record of community action, including serving 12 years on the Metro Council, make him a great choice for Portland City Council.
