I saw some advise not to dilute my vote by making more than 1 or 2 choices. This is a misunderstanding of how ranked choice works! Here's what the election dept says on this point:

When tabulating votes, Multnomah County does not even look at the lower rankings on a ballot until the highest ranked candidate on that ballot has been eliminated from the counting process. So to be clear, voters should feel comfortable to rank as many candidates as they would like, up to 6, without worrying that lower rankings will endanger their higher rankings. Just make sure to rank them with 1 being the highest, or most preferred candidate.
