This cliff-side house, co-designed by MASA partner Garrett Martin back in 2005 just got some sweet recognition in the latest issue Oregon Home Magazine!

High-desert drama Mary Ellen and Wilf Pinfold’s Maupin home on a bluff is perfectly situated for the owners’ desire for cozy entertaining.

A small project with a big punch: an under-utilized porch is enclosed to provide sorely needed space in a cramped entry hall. This addition takes its cues from the existing cedar deck fence and the angled planes of the old dutch colonial roof, while updating the house to meet its owner's sense of style and penchant for entertainment. Construction will begin when it stops raining!

A monumental trellis-tunnel, plazas for civic gatherings, farmers markets and food trucks, light-rail kiosks, a central greenspace, and tidal fountain all serve to bring energy and life back to this grand boulevard.

MASA partner Garrett Martin has been asked to serve on the jury for the Water Tower PDX Competition. Seeking ideas for innovative re-use of the city's 100+ water storage containers, we will be looking at over 80 submissions this month. Winners will be announced on April 30, to be presented for public display in June. So far. things look...very interesting.
