Did you miss the Spring 2026 Showcase Concert? Enjoy this special clip of our middle school choir proving that "small but mighty" is more than just a saying! A heartfelt thank you to our students, choir director Mr. Ostrand, and all the parents who encouraged and supported these young musicians throughout the year, including their choir festival travels and performances.

BIG things are happening at Portland Christian Elementary School! Today our fantastic facilities staff, board members, and volunteers from school families showed up in full force in the heat to disassemble and haul a $200,000 playground — gifted from the Lake Oswego School District! We’re talking tire swings, a hamster wheel, climbing courses, rolly slides, and more — all coming home to PC!

Special thanks to East County Custom Homes and to Antonov Construction.

Thank you to every single person who donated their time and who brought their tools, their trailers, and their muscles today. Our kids are SO lucky to have a community like this behind them. 💛💜

We need additional help tomorrow, 6/16 - for day 2. We’ll be at Forest Hills Elementary (1133 Andrews Rd. Lake Oswego) at 9am to pull concrete posts and finish the job. Backhoe needed!

The Fine Arts Committee (FAC) celebrated PC high school arts students with an evening that began with the high school arts showcase. Teachers from the high school arts department, Mrs. Kristen Caldwell (Technical Theatre), Mrs. Evy McLean (Art), Mr. Joseph Ostrand (Band & Choir), Ms. Tiffany Redwing (Yearbook), and Mrs. Lisa Singleterry (Drama), recognized and handed out awards, certificates and pins for Varsity Letters, Scholastic Art Awards, National Art Honors Society, Thespians, Department Awards and roses to seniors. 🎭 🎶🎨 🎺

FAC awards were given for:

Freshman Rookie of the Year - Kayla Li
Freshman Rookie of the Year - Caroline Smith
Sophomore Rookie of the Year - Adam Xiong
Renaissance - Olivia Felton
Inspiration - Kai Sherman

PC is so grateful to the FAC committee members (Nancy Watkins, Erin Lowe, Molly Smith, and Windee Klinger) who volunteered through the years. Departing senior parents Windee Klinger and Molly Smith were honored by arts department chair, Kristen Caldwell, with gifts of the students' framed artwork.

And … the 2025-26 school year is a wrap. Elementary closed it out with a final chapel, goodbyes to teachers, and a celebration dance, while over at the Middle & High School campus, students finished last tasks, hung out with teachers, emptied their lockers, and said their “see you laters”.

May the Lord grant each of our students, families, faculty, and staff a time of true refreshment this summer. “He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.” —Psalm 23:2-3

Have a wonderful summer, everyone!

Sun and a ton of fun at our K-5 Field Day! Today was packed with plenty of silly and challenging games to celebrate the end of the school year:
* Rock wall climbing
* Cup stacking relay
* Octopus tag
* Shark attack parachute
* Keepie uppie balloons
* Super soaker “fill the ship”
* Water balloon races
* Tug of war (for upper grades)
* And finally, students used their hard-earned last character trait reward to request the Tube of Wonder water slide! They crawled through a tube and then slid through water and bubbles.

A gazillion high fives to our amazing PE teacher, Mrs. Kempenich, for creating such an awesome day for our students! Thank you also to our elementary staff, teachers, and parent volunteers who made it all possible.

Woo-hoo! Summer is almost officially here!

What a great afternoon - hot and sunny - for the annual middle school water balloon fight aka WWH2O between the 6th, 7th and 8th graders. We're not sure if anyone was ever guarding their class flag, but everyone had fun!!

🦁 Join us in celebrating our Junior Zoologists’ hard work — as a final project of their kindergarten year, students researched an animal and designed a zoo sanctuary to help protect and preserve their chosen species. They were ready to share all about their animals and habitats as other grades stopped by the Kinderville Zoo to ask questions and learn!
