Movement โ Play โ Connection
Hereโs how we play:
One person, the caller, stands at one end of the room.
The rest of the group balances on one leg in tree pose at the other end.
The caller turns their back and loudly calls โ1โ2โ3 Tree!โ
While the callerโs back is turned, the group can move forward โ but as soon as the caller turns, everyone must freeze in tree pose!
Move too soon? Back to start you go.
Reach the caller first? You get to be the next caller!
Itโs laughter, focus, and connection โ a playful way to learn, move, and grow together. ๐ฟ๐
Teacher Training โ March 14th
Come play with us!
When teachers play, they remember. ๐
Here's Leslie teaching the mindfulness game, Gotcha, during training. Everyone stands in a circle - one hand ready to catch, one finger ready to escape.
When she says "GO!" (at the most unexpected moment๐), two things happen at once:
โจYou try to pull your finger away.
โจYou try to catch your neighbor's.
It's focus.
It's anticipation.
It's laugher.
It's community.
Gotcha sharpens attention, builds connection, and reminds us that mindfulness doesn't have to be quiet to be powerful. Sometimes it looks like a room full of teachers giggling and fully present.
Ready to bring playful mindfulness like this to your students?
Join us for our March 14th Teacher Training in Portland, Oregon and learn games, tools, and practices you can enjoy with the kids in your life.
