My Voice Music (MVM) teaches youth to write, record, and perform original songs.

Our vision is that all youth have the opportunity to find and share their artistic voice.

06/04/2026

At this year’s MVM XVIII gala, we shared a glimpse into our Transitions program — a space where young adults ages 18–24 come together to write songs, record music, collaborate, and support one another through creativity.

For many participants, Transitions is more than a music program. It’s a place to belong.

Watch the video and hear directly from the young people finding their voices through music. 🎶

Angelwing’s performance from our MVM XVIII gala.
Angelwing is a one-night supergroup bringing together artists from My Voice Music’s Transitions and Amplify High School programs. , , and —artists from Transitions—take the lead on vocals, joined by fellow Transitions artist on bass, alongside Amplify High School musicians .ryan20 on drums, on guitar, and MVM Program Director on keys.

Transitions supports young adult artists as they develop and perform their own original work, while Amplify High School brings musicians together weekly to write, rehearse, and collaborate as a band. Angelwing bridged those two worlds for a special finale performance at MVM XVIII.

Named after Pacific Northwest butterflies referenced in the song’s lyrics, Angelwing reflects transformation and growth—fitting for a night centered on coming of age. Written specifically for this event, the piece served as the final sound of the evening.
