Thanks to all the local growers we are lucky enough to have in Portland. And, as always, thank you to the folks that chose our studio in 2017 to express their love in flowers.
It was a beautiful year!

Bougainvillea is a plant of my childhood. When I first moved here to the wet Pacific Northwest, I planted it over and over, year after year, hoping it would take..... then I learned a quiet, new song here.... but even still I would often plant it as an annual; a temporary companion in a different garden. Because?
Well because we take things with us when we come to someplace new.
And we are always searching for home even when we had 10,000 reasons to go away.
This photo is from my friend in Amman Jordan. I hadn't thought of bougainvillea in ages until she posted it. It's from her "chasing autumn" series about home.
