We just delivered this beautiful food kart/ bike trailer to the client last week! The purpose of this trailer, is to serve chocolate milk at a local farmers market. This was a very challenging project. It took well over a month to complete. In the end. It turned out absolutely beautiful! It’s got a yeti 1000 for Mobil power, Engle fridge, full water system with hot and cold running water, stainless countertop, rear ramp door, plus two side doors. It has a removable countertop surface that slides over to the right side of the trailer. So the barista has access to the fridge inside! I am super happy with the end result of this bike food kart! The clients are super pleased as well. If you are in the Seattle area? Keep a lookout for bellflower chocolate! If you would like to have one of these built for your business? Please reach out to us.

We built this marketing bullitt bike for Golden Island. It’s meant to look like a tuk tuk three wheeled car from Thailand. If you have a special need for a vending or marketing bike? Please contact us. We do custom work quite often.

We have fully redesigned the nomad cargo wood box. It’s been greatly simplified to lower cost and speed up production. The new box has the same seat and belts as the old design. It’s made from 9 MM Baltic birch plywood. The back panel, floor panel and forward panel are bolted to the bike. The sides and seat the held in place with a stainless steel buckle ratchet strap. So this box gives you the ability to remove the sides and the seat. Which gives you a bike with an open cargo deck for larger loads. If you would like one of the new boxes? Please contact us for pricing.

We had the pleasure of building 3 bullitt messenger boxes and 3 custom boxes for the surly Bill trailer. These were for the university on Washington mail delivery service. It’s a campus run business. They are currently delivering all of the central campus by bike. They are expanding into the university district in the spring. It’s really exciting to see big organizations switching over to bikes.

The new design for the packster 80 is complete. We built 4 of these currier boxes back in February. 3 of them went to a customer in Seattle to use as a by bike maid service. If you are in the market for a Riese & Muller Packster 80 lockable metal box? Please contact us for pricing.

We just built a prototype box for the bullitt cargo bike. It sits in an otherwise dead space at the rear of the steering post. This part will most likely end up as a composite part. Being its a very complex shape for sheet metal. It will have two doors on the rear vertical faces on the box. The doors will hinge down for loading gear.

We received a brand new Bullitt Lizard King From Splendid Cycles on Sunday. This bike will be used for development of our boxes and related products. We installed our 3 prototype of the CNC router cut wood box. It also has laser cut images of Mt Hood with sunlight on one side and Moonlight on the other side.

Bullitt wood cargo box 03/16/2016

We are expanding into building wood boxes for Bullitt cargo bikes. Kevin Takalo and Steven Fan have been working with the folks at Splendid cycles to create a wood box. That is intirely machined using our new CNC router table. Steven Fan designed the box in Cad. Kevin takalo did all the assembly and finish work. as well as working through all the dificulties of manufacturing. The first prototype has 2 mitered corners on the front lower edge. The second one has a radius. We kerf cut the inside of the lower panel. So it would make the bend. This was pretty challenging. We have sense been able to make the bend without kerf cutting. We soaked the panel and then used a propane torch to apply heat to the panel through a peice of matal. With the wood wraped in a wet cloth. The second prototype is very nice looking. It weighs roughly 17 pounds. Much lighter than pervoius versions. once the cad design is finalized. we expect to drasitcally reduce the time it takes to make these cargo boxes. As well as reduce the price. We also deliver the completed boxes by bike.
