WH Platts Company recently completed a broadcast control room for the University of West Georgia in Carrolton GA. The control room connects with an adjacent basketball arena and distant football stadium over fiber, but will also be used for baseball and softball as the University expands it’s sports programming. The design incorporates NDI and SDI sources, along with Dante audio accommodating up to six cameras in both primary venues, color and play-by-play commentators. We integrated Panasonic AJ-PX380G cameras, a new Clearcom HelixNet intercom system with Freespeak wireless and two Variant Envivo NDI based replay systems.
