Being contradicted can feel threatening but there's much to learn if we are willing to move aside the fear and get curious.
There are always different views/perceptions and they don't have to negate another.

This took me years to figure out. Sometimes I still forget. For those in conflict, it's helpful to always look past anger to figure out what need is not getting met - for yourself and the one you are in conflict with.
