Brax folk should dig this astonishingly great video from Trabants which features three great musicians with strong label ties. Group leader Eric Penna played lead guitar on Charboneau's "Why Go in Now," bassist Dave Berkham recorded Charboneau and Optdemics and drummer Luke Strahota plays with Optdemics. This song/video are alluring, and showcase Eric's top-notch playing and songwriting. So proud to know these fellows. The LP comes out June 12. https://v13.net/2026/04/trabants-purple-panther-video-premiere/?fbclid=IwY2xjawRPtdFleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETFrTUxoNlZZaVB0RzB3QXZDc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHrRi6ZqXU15T7IAM3gOYBnm8_MtcY2mty9aCYI1PbsyKibzrnXTvz-43Hy3Z_aem_zuQNvYYC2pKaowlINEK2Ig

The new Lions of the Interstate LP is here! "Blossom" is a masterpiece: The Lions continue to hone their distinct sound and inventive songwriting chops with this spectacular record. It's more psych-y than "Strange Empires" without losing any of the soul and charm. Oh, and they're playing a release show Saturday at Bunk Bar. You can pre-order this baby, and listen to the first single, the poignant "Keep You," here:

Optdemics has the group's first video, for "Dear Florence," out for our record "The Atom Complex." Cellist Makenna Bach, violinist Eve Callahan and violist Katrina Kahl joined us for this loving look at one of Andy's favorite Oregon coastal towns. "The Atom Complex" comes out April 25, the group plays a release show May 10 at Alberta Street Pub. Links to both are below. Enjoy your trip to the coast.

Big news from those on the Braxeling side of life: Dec. 28's Britpop program at Arbor Beer Lodge will feature three very Brax-y players: Arturo Diaz of Lions of the Interstate, Andy Giegerich from the Honus Huffhines and several other label denizens and Britpop host David Stoops. Poster and all that coming very soon.
