Professional Dispatch Services, Inc. (PDSI) was established in 1995 specifically to provide Tow Rotation Management Services to public agencies in the state of Oregon. Since its inception, PDSI has ensured quick and accurate dispatch services to six public agencies within six different counties and fifteen cities over the last 11 years. As

a company, PDSI is large enough to provide efficiencies of scale and small enough to be able to custom-tailor the services offered to each contractor. PDSI’s extensive experience working with governmental agencies enhances its ability to effectively manage the range of situations that arise. Through your CAD system or Officer/911 call in, we are able to receive calls and communicate with PSAP dispatchers as well as the responders on scene. Our in house system provides the actual rotations we use. Instead of 911 dispatchers calling tow truck companies, finding proper equipment, getting eta updates and dealing with companies passing rotations or citizens calling about impounded vehicles, we handle it all, so your dispatchers are free to handle incoming emergencies. We like to think we “specialize in the whatever” - the whatever being anything that is not a large enough emergency to warrant taking 911’s time. Accountability is important every step of the way - there is always a person present to oversee our dispatch process. Our computer may manage the rotation, but it is our people who make sure the correct equipment is dispatched, and speak directly to tow companies and citizens, ensuring response times are met. The last piece we stress to our dispatchers and our customers is efficiency, people are stuck on the side of the road, your officers are on the side of the road. When tow companies are expected to make 20 minute response times - you can’t make up time on the street that you lose in quarters. The faster we can clear the road, officer and emergency dispatcher, the less chance another emergency will happen, or have to wait, as a result. We take this responsibility seriously and strive to assist PSAP’s nationwide in any way necessary. There are many things your 911 dispatchers should know, and what equipment to send to a recovery on a Semi is not one of them.
