Temperatures have already soared into the 90s early this afternoon throughout the Willamette Valley, including the Portland/Vancouver Metro area where there is an Extreme Heat Warning in effect. Expect overnight temperatures to cool in the 60s, although a few local areas may not see temperatures drop below 70 degrees tonight. With limited overnight relief and temperatures expected to warm another 1-3 degrees on Monday, make sure to practice heat safety, wherever you are!

Things are warming up and it's time to be diligent when near water ways. The water remains very cold so consider splash pads as an alternative. If you are going near the water, use a life jacket and don't go alone so there is always someone else there to help in the case it's needed.

Water temperatures are still dangerously cold through most of the Northwest waterways. Please be careful in the water during the warm days coming up! Don't forget your life jacket!!
