I'd like to let you know about an upcoming free entrepreneurship event that you may be interested in: Start Summit: Social Innovation. This is a great event for anyone interested in using innovation and collaboration to change their world for the better.
Here are some details about the event:
The Roux Institute, in partnership with the Lewiston Public Library, the City of Lewiston, and Community Organizing Alliance, invites you to join us for our upcoming Start Summit -- the opportunity for Lewiston-area community members to transform ideas into prototypes and business concepts.
Start Summit: Social Innovation will take place at the Lewiston Public Library on February 3rd from 10:00am - 5:00pm. We will kick things off with a welcome, team formation, and initial team introductions. Then we will move into our Design Thinking workshop with Owen Sanderson, followed by a catered lunch and a Founder Story with Safiya Khalid. The second half of our day is devoted to team ideation, pitch development and practice, and a pitch competition with a chance to win a $3,000 first prize or $2,000 second prize. You can expect that this event to be social, interactive, informative -- and FUN!
