I am following, of course, the instructions of law enforcement. This currently involves taking down anything on Facebook that is accidentally untrue. I am grateful for patience. Please stand by.

People who feel terrified and alone may not look to others as part of a beloved community. Some will see other people as threats. Some will see other people as prey.

If you or someone you know needs help finding secure housing or help making the housing they have more secure, we can help.

We can help people hold on to their businesses. We can help people care for their children. We can help people stay healthy. We can help people resolve conflict and deter aggression. We can help people connect with each other and with the productive work that may allow those with the privilege to shelter in place to do so in peace.

Peacekeeping, Security, and Mediation Services through AMMA Least Force Necessary Tactical Security, a division of Alive MMA, 5607 SE Woodstock. Our folks are typically highly trained in ethical practices inspired by years of service in the Black Rock Rangers at Burning Man, for instance, decades of union organizing and negotiations, and creative problem solving. We also include and employ veterans and people with legal and law enforcement backgrounds. We are in liaison with the Portland Police Department, but we are not police officers. We strive at all times to establish social contract based on consensual interactions and respect. It is not our job to tell people what to do, nor to protect people from the unpredictable consequences of apparently bad decisions. We may remind people that sharp things are, gravity is, people behave as they do, and non consensual behavior risks paperwork and the chance to be considered gross by one’s neighbors.

People of good faith and character who understand that virtue is not limited to any race, faith, or gender are invited to show up at Alive MMA prepared to be of help and service to the common good.
