If you all were wondering what has moved into the old Backyard Social space. It's a super chill and tasty sandwich spot called The Nosh Pit .

I'm super excited to see the space reimagined as a no frills, punk style, everybody's welcome, bring your friends kind of bar/sandwich shop.

I had the Tuna sandwich - a lil smokey, a lil spicy and super fresh and crunchy. I'll be getting that again.
I also had the Wackaroni salad - slightly creamy (yet vegan ftw), spicy and addictive. Really bomb.

I'm looking forward to the bar opening when they get their liquor license in January. It's already outfitted with a stage for live music and comedy. And video games! Aaaand I maaaay just stop by to give them my jello and pudding shot recipes 😘

Thanks and for keeping a friendly neighborhood go-to spot alive in my favorite neighborhood. I miss you Overlook!

Last day! I've found more wine, more dishes, more mirrors, lots of lighting. It's all got to go. Now until 2:00!

Tomorrow night is our last night of service. Come in to get your last home-made veggie burger and a few super tasty (but oddly named;) cocktails!

And these Bears have been ridiculed for years. Please take them out of here and give them the living homes they deserve.

Help us give good homes to all these wonderful decorations, mirrors (sooo many mirrors), glassware, furniture etc. Keep a little piece of Backyard Social or Gilded Raccoon for yourself!
I've set up the Gilded Raccoon space as a little thrift store. Starting this Monday come by and buy some memories to take home:)

It's been a wild ride, Portland!
Backyard Social is so incredibly lucky to have had such an amazing nine years filled with love, support, friends and fun. But all things eventually come to an end. So it's time to bid you farewell.
We will be closing our doors for good at the end of August. Please come by to see us before we leave. There are so so many faces we are going to dearly miss❤️ We love you Portland and our Overlook neighborhood!

We wanted to let you know that the weekend of April 6th will be our last brunch service here. It has been an absolute joy creating menus for you to enjoy, and we feel so fortunate to have been entrusted with launching the Backyard Social Brunch Program.

Thank you for showing up for us every weekend—it has truly been a pleasure serving you! But now, it’s time for us to move on to our next adventure.

Backyard Social will, of course, continue its service as always, but you only have four more weekends to stop by, see our faces, and try our fun specials.

Unfortunately, we all just live too far away these days. If it does rain ice, I don't want me or my crew to navigate slick roads getting home tonight. We're going to play it safe and stay home. Back at it tomorrow! Have fun, stay warm, and we look forward to hearing all your snow stories this weekend 💙
