A new chapter for the Astoria Public Library, and now a 2026 DeMuro Award! 👏🏼

Originally built in 1967, the library was thoughtfully reimagined into a brighter, more accessible community space while preserving the character of the original building. The renovation even doubled the library’s usable program space without expanding its original footprint.

KPFF was part of the team that helped bring this transformation to life, and it’s great to see the work recognized by Restore Oregon. Congratulations to the entire project team!

Three familiar projects on this year's DeMuro Award list! Astoria Public Library, Concord Community Center Renovation, and the Portland Art Museum Rothko Pavilion & Campus Renovation are all projects KPFF had a hand in. Congratulations to all the teams behind these incredible projects! 👏

Big news for a project close to home! 🎉

The Portland Art Museum’s Rothko Pavilion & Campus Renovation has received a 2026 DeMuro Award, recognizing excellence in historic preservation, reuse, and community revitalization.

Our Portland team had the opportunity to play a major role in bringing this transformation to life, providing structural and civil engineering and land surveying services throughout the project. From seismic and structural engineering to new entrances, utilities, stormwater facilities, and the glass façade of the Rothko Pavilion, our team helped connect two historic buildings into a more accessible and welcoming museum campus.

It’s especially meaningful to see a project right here in Portland recognized for thoughtfully bringing together the city’s history and its future. A huge congratulations to the Portland Art Museum and the entire project team!

Class is back in session! 📚

As our interns head back to school, we’re grateful for the fresh ideas, hard work and energy they brought to KPFF this summer. We taught them a few things, learned plenty from them and made time for some fun along the way. Wishing them a great school year, we can’t wait to see what they do next!

INTEGRUS

Apparently working together all week wasn’t enough, so the KPFF crew decided to run nearly 200 miles together too.

Equal parts relay, road trip, and sleep deprivation. Hood to Coast was one for the books! 🏔️🌊

We got to spend some time celebrating our interns today, and it was the perfect excuse to say thank you for everything they’ve brought to the team this summer. From fresh ideas to great attitudes, they’ve made a real impact, and we’re lucky to have them as part of KPFF.

The Phil and Penny Knight Campus just got a little bigger! Building 2 is officially open, creating space for research, hands-on learning, and the next generation of biomedical innovation.

It’s exciting to see this project come to life and the impact it will have for years to come.
