--We'll also be hosting an "Art Show Social" on July 30th, from 11:30am–12:30pm.

June is Pride Month—a time to celebrate, reflect, and stand with our LGBTQIA+ community. At UCP Oregon, we honor the diverse identities and experiences within our community, including those of our clients, families, and staff.

This month (and always!), we're proud to recognize the strength and resilience of LGBTQIA+ individuals, especially those living with disabilities. We celebrate you.

Pride is more than a month—it's a commitment to inclusion, visibility, and love. We stand with you this June and every day.

Hello, UCP Community.

Many of you know Wilma Smeeton. She has announced her retirement after being part of UCP Oregon for an astonishing 32 years!

Over the years, Wilma worked in a variety of roles, including Assistant Team Leader and Personal Assistant in UCP's Supported Living Department.

Wilma, thanks for your many years of service at UCP, and best wishes in your new endeavors. We’ll miss you! 🩵

Reminder! Tomorrow is UCP Oregon's monthly online GAB Group!

GAB Groups are safe, compassionate spaces where parents and caregivers raising children with disabilities can talk openly, listen, share, and connect. GAB Groups are always facilitated by fellow parents, so you’ll be welcomed by someone who truly understands what it’s like.

We wanted to share a quick update on the 2026 Bill Porter Memorial Fund. The application period is now closed, and we received 84 applications. Woo hoo!

Thank you to everyone who applied—and to anyone who helped someone through the process.

Our review team now has the fun (and challenging!) job of working through 84 wonderful requests. We'll share a timeline for final decisions soon. Stay tuned!

Can’t make it in person? GAB is online too!

GAB Support Groups provide a safe, compassionate space for parents and caregivers to connect with fellow parents raising a child with cerebral palsy or another disability. These groups are facilitated by parent volunteers, creating a supportive, understanding environment to vent, share challenges and joys, seek advice, listen, and talk openly in a non-judgmental space--reminding you that you are not alone!

Attention west-side parents—we’re coming to you!

We’re launching a brand-new West GAB group this month, meeting in Lake Oswego. GAB is a free support group for parents and caregivers in UCP’s Family Support Department. It’s a small, relaxed group where you can share, listen, and connect with other parents who truly get it.
