You could be getting paid while learning how to actually work, make money, deal with people, build something, and get experience you can use when it’s time to apply for a job. That’s Vibe Lab.

Our first group worked at real events, earned money, learned business, got their food handler cards, met people they probably never would’ve met otherwise, and left with something they could actually put behind their name. And we had a lot of fun doing it.

Now we’re picking the next group. Applications close September 21.

WEEK 8: OWN THE SPACE YOU’RE IN

A lot of the things you need to know as an adult are things nobody ever really sits down and teaches you.

This week we focused on some of those things.

We started with paying attention to your surroundings at work, with your team and in everyday life. Noticing when something changes, taking initiative, speaking up when something needs attention and knowing when to make a different decision.

Today we brought that same - lesson home.

Our youth learned what to do when a toilet is overflowing or a sink is leaking, how to find a water shutoff, reset a GFCI outlet, recognize when a breaker has tripped, use basic tools and, just as importantly, recognize when something is not a DIY fix and it’s time to get help.

These aren’t big, flashy lessons.

They’re the little things that help a young person walk into adulthood more prepared, more confident and a little less dependent on somebody else to figure everything out for them.

That’s Vibe Lab.

Real skills for real life.
