While helping us share information about in-home primary care services at the Oregon Chinese Coalition Community Health Fair, Chinese language interpreter Elvy He mentioned that her brother had been a patient of Housecall Providers for several years. Just before heading to lunch, she quietly offered a simple thought: “It was easy for me to explain your services because I’ve lived it myself.”

The evening at Portland State University featured a beautiful duo performance by renowned pianists Lisa Marsh and Connie Titterington. Housecall Providers Hospice Liaison Heather Young led a training for adult care home owners and operators in Multnomah County on supporting residents with serious and advanced illness. Providing education through the Multnomah County Department of County Human Services Adult Care Home Program continues to be deeply fulfilling. Thank you to all who attended!

Housecall Providers Hospice team members Dayna, Heather, and Sean, held a bereavement event in honor of one of our patients at Cameron Care. Staff and residents joined to paint rocks that will be put in the new garden they're getting together this spring. Thank you to Gretchen and the entire team at Cameron Care for all you do. 🩵

At 97 years old, Lena Yep still enjoys getting outside. On a clear day in Portland, she rides her motorized scooter along the path near her home. It gives her things that matter deeply at this stage of life. Independence. Fresh air. A sense of normalcy.

This month, Housecall Providers bids a heartfelt au revoir to an extraordinary colleague, Primary Care Medical Director, JC Provost, DNP, as he returns to his home country of France after 22 remarkable years of leadership and compassionate medical care for the homebound and seriously ill members of our community.
