While helping us share information about in-home primary care services at the Oregon Chinese Coalition Community Health Fair, Chinese language interpreter Elvy He mentioned that her brother had been a patient of Housecall Providers for several years. Just before heading to lunch, she quietly offered a simple thought: “It was easy for me to explain your services because I’ve lived it myself.”

At 97 years old, Lena Yep still enjoys getting outside. On a clear day in Portland, she rides her motorized scooter along the path near her home. It gives her things that matter deeply at this stage of life. Independence. Fresh air. A sense of normalcy.
