The Chamber testified in support of the Homeownership Investment Ordinance, a proposal to direct $2.5 million toward affordable homeownership opportunities for Black households and historically displaced communities in North and Northeast Portland.
Homeownership is one of the strongest pathways to building generational wealth, and this ordinance takes direct aim at closing a gap with deep historical roots. We're calling on Portland City Council to get shovels in the ground.

Sign the petition to rename SW Jackson St. to SW Rose Hill St. by June 11.
Portland State University is working to honor Portland's Native community by renaming a three-block stretch of SW Jackson Street outside of Portland State’s Native American Student and Community Center. The change honors Rose Hill, a revered leader and educator in Portland’s Native community.
To make the change, PSU needs 2,500 Portland residents to sign the petition by June 11, 2026. Add your signature today!
