It’s new phase day! Today marks the beginning of our Affiliate Summer Phase 2, and its a good one! Our second of two summer training phases, we continue with our foundational strength building work and will be back squatting and strict pressing weekly, along with a gymnastics focus on the traditional kipping pull up and the good old fashioned push-up.

We will continue with our weekly running work both as monostructural running work and run-biased CrossFit workouts, including the 2014 CrossFit Games workout “Triple 3” programmed for a Saturday in early August. While we are not testing a 1RM Back Squat or Press before this phase, we will test both lifts at the end of the phase just like we did with the deadlift and bench press, and will also be retesting our Summer-1 running test at the end of Summer-2
