Impact NW is hiring a Housing Specialist II to join our team in Clark County, WA.

$25.24–$26.50/hour | Full-Time | 1.0 FTE

In this role, you’ll work alongside individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability, providing support with housing navigation, resource connections, advocacy, and long-term housing stability.

You’ll build relationships with participants, connect people with community resources, work with landlords and service providers, and help create pathways toward stable housing.

This is a great opportunity for someone who brings a people-centered, trauma-informed approach and is passionate about housing stability and community support. Experience in human services, housing navigation, or case management is preferred.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Tonight, as we celebrate 60 years of Impact NW, we are incredibly honored to receive a proclamation from the Mayor of Portland recognizing six decades of service to our community.

Impact NW began in 1966 when neighbors in Southeast Portland came together with a simple but powerful idea: we are stronger when we support one another.

Sixty years later, that spirit continues.

What began as a neighborhood-led effort has grown into an organization serving tens of thousands of people each year, preventing homelessness, strengthening families, supporting children and older adults, and creating pathways to stability and opportunity.

We’re Hiring: Youth Advocate – Student Support Specialist II
Impact NW is hiring a Youth Advocate to support middle and high school students through case management, advocacy, goal-setting, and connections to school and community resources.

$24/hour | Full-Time | 1.0 FTE
Location: Dancing Tree Resource Center + Portland Metro schools
Bilingual Spanish/English: $0.50/hour differential

This role works directly with youth in grades 6–12, helping them navigate academic, social, and emotional challenges while building positive relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners.

Associate degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years in human services, social work, or a related field required. Experience working with youth is strongly preferred. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

Impact NW is looking for a Seasonal SUN Extended Day Instructor to lead engaging after-school activities for elementary students at Marysville and Whitman Elementary Schools.

Pay: $18.13/hour
Schedule: Seasonal, after-school
Students: Ages 6–11, groups of 10–15

We’re looking for people who are excited to share something they love with kids. Classes may include art, cooking, dance, creative writing, environmental science, languages, sports, STEAM activities, and more.

For families supporting someone with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, conversations about driving can be difficult. How do you balance independence and dignity with changing abilities and safety?

Impact NW is offering At the Crossroads, a FREE three-part workshop designed to help family members and friends navigate these decisions with greater confidence.

Participants will learn how to:

Recognize and monitor changes in driving ability
Approach difficult conversations with dignity and respect
Plan ahead for driving limitations and eventually stopping driving
Balance independence with safety
