Portland Fruit Tree Project brings people together to harvest fruit that might otherwise go to waste, and make it available to those who need it most.
We are starting from the ground UP this year, is growing food exclusively for one of our pantry partners , and we are here to help recruit farm hands for the season. ๐

Feeling powerless? Here is a possible antidote๐ค: Get out to a beautiful farm in NW Portland and get your hands dirty helping, 2 hour shifts most Wednesday and some Thursday mornings are on our volunteer calendar .org.
Bring a group from work or perhaps some kids that need some time outside ๐ช
Save the Date for super FUN summer block party vibes for FREE with our friends Lucky Horseshoe Portland and Straightaway cocktails 6.20.26, Solstice Saturday @ Clinton and 26th. Their authentic italian menu and amazing cocktail creations are not to be missed.๐๐ฅ๐
We will be there making free buttons ๐ฅฐ with ya'll with our new button making machine, and enjoying a cherry bomb, made with urban gleaned fruit and Straightaway Accompani, benefiting our work in the urban orchard.

Let's go 2026 harvest season, jump on our NEWLY DONATED website, and get your trees registered for harvest, or drop off cherries and berries with our easy DIY all hours, all days process you can also find outlined there and we will get them out to our community. ๐ค
It's harvest season! Bins are getting ready, labeled and set to be loaded (and unloaded, and reloaded!).
Please join us in registering fruiting plants and trees on property's we all steward within the greater PDX urban orchard, and help us get all of this excess fruit out to our pantry partners. ๐๐๐

Unlike the leaves and unripe fruit, the flowers do not cause the astringent, chalky "mouth-puckering" sensation.
