You don't have to leave your city to get outdoors. Even if you just have time to layout on the grass or find a bench at your local park, that's great! Bring yourself out of whatever 4 walls are confining you. Open up space to think, to breathe, to be in the present.

Backpacking season is getting close! Who already has permits and where are you going??

For those who have stood on top of Abiqua contemplating a jump, you know the weird dark energy that exists up there. Looking up from the bottom you think oh ok that’s not too bad. Then glancing down from up top it’s a different story. The water is just so dark and eerie! Your heart starts racing. Cold gusts of wind slice through your wetsuit. Knowing there are hidden boulders under the surface of the water adds to the nerves. “Land in front of the waterfall. To the left and right is too shallow.” Countless rocks were thrown off to really time in our minds how slow to rotate in the air and to plan out our trajectory to avoid shallow areas. Once my feet took off from that cliff it was instant relief knowing muscle memory will take control from here. Thank you for the fattest of the fattest photo. 🔥

Warning to anyone who is inspired to jump. PLEASE DEPTH CHECK. There are some serious underwater hazards on this jump. For those who have seen Flow State you know what I mean.
