“Streambank Violets” will be .camas for their next group show, Pacific Northwest—art by regional artists about where we live. I’m honored to have art in this exhibit! The opening reception is Friday, May 1, 5-8pm.

Streambank violets are indigenous in the forests of the PNW. These small bright little yellow beauties pop out in spring. They really stand out (vivid elements!) amidst all of the green of the forest and their cheerful nature are a joy to see after a long winter. They exude happiness and hope to me and seem like a good expression of our beautiful Pacific Northwest. I love the theme of this exhibit and am looking forward to seeing the show.

Check out two of my paintings hanging together at my collector’s home! It’s nice to see how someone else curates and hangs my work in their own space. It fills me with joy to know that my pieces brighten her family’s life every day. Thank you collectors!

“Red Flowering Currant” dives deep into a tiny flower from this PNW forest plant, exploring how we are all connected. Getting lost in the details can connect you to the universe!

“Bleeding Heart” magnifies and highlights a tiny forest flower of the same name. Its sensual shapes and curves are amazing. I poured some heartache into this piece working to transform the emotion into beauty.

Hello. I’ve been trying to find and share a little love and joy lately. So here’s what has brought me immense joy to create in 2025. My goal is always to share some joy with the world through my art. Slowing down to look closely at the incredible beauty found in the details of nature all around us is the essence of where these paintings come from. These are all PNW plants and mushrooms indigenous to the area, with a few crystals, a bee, and a giant silk moth in there too. I had way less time to paint this past year than in other years, so for half of the year I focused on a series of smaller pieces that were quicker to paint and easy to take on outdoor adventures. Wishing you some of the joy, gentleness and wonder that can be found in the forest.
