When politicians depend on contributions from large corporations, lobbyists, and special interest groups -- they work for them. We believe in government of, by and for the people -- not government bought and paid for by the wealthiest individuals and special interests. Mainers deserve politicians who are accountable to us. By strengthening campaign finance limits, increasing transparency through stronger disclosure requirements, limiting dark money’s influence on elected officials, and increasing fines and penalties for those who break the rules, we can keep our representatives honest and keep control of elections in the hands of voters.
