Batteries In Black is a FIRST Tech Challenge team based in Portland, Oregon, affiliated with Washington County 4-H. We are a group high school students passionate about robotics, problem-solving, and STEM.

Last week, our team Batteries in Black had our final competition at the World Championships in Houston.

We've had a great 6 years as an FTC team and we will miss being part of this community! Thank you to our coaches, our parents, the many mentors who've guided us, and all the teams that we have met along the way.

This year was full of lasts for us, but FIRST has and will always be an important part of our lives. We look forward to the many other "firsts" in our futures.

Our team is overjoyed that one of our coaches, Krishnan Duraiswami, won the Compass Award at the World Championships. He has helped us in so many ways and has always motivated us to achieve more and believe in our abilities. We are inspired by his dedication, his patience, and his unwavering support of our pursuits inside and outside of the team. Thank you Coach!!
